Obsessed with Pinterest

I knew it would happen.
Pinterest happened a while ago, I know. I resisted taking a look at it for ages, because as soon as I heard a rough description of what it was, I felt a little tremor in my heart and thought to myself “Oh. I am going to waste so much time.”
I finally gave in to the curiosity.
Yup. I’m obsessed.
At the beginning of the summer, for Penny Lane’s last days of school she asked me to make some gifts for her friends at school. I learned to crochet during a bought of shingles last year.

Most of the girls wanted little octopodes, but some wanted turtles, and one adorable post-modern cool kiddo wanted a narwhal.

They’re all on Pinterest now.

Fifty Shades of… Yup. I’m bored.

Women of the world, I’m begging you, please move on to a new obsession. Now.
Stop laughing, it’s not a joke. I hate to be ‘that person’ at the party, but life would be so much less obnoxious for me if the estrogen brigade could latch onto a different fantasy, maybe, one I could actually relate to having! Remember back before Twilight was unsatisfactory movies and everyone speculated on who would play Edward Cullen? I’d really love to emotionally skip into the future, when all y’all are at the post-adaptation-disappointment phase.

2012 Presidential Race

Oh, America.

I used to hate politics, and honestly, all the negativity still gets to me sometimes. More and more though, it seems like its the lesser evil to bone-up on current events and just follow the issues, debates, scandals, jaw-dropping stupidity and the occasional moments of fist-pumping triumph and "Oh, no he didn't!"

Plus, the alternative is to be an ignorant jag.

So...
The resemblance is uncanny.

Cymru

I was feeling a little homesick for Cardiff last night, so to cheer up I read chapter 11 in Howl’s Moving Castle again.
